The 2012 excavation

In 2012, the group is again returning to the henge site at Stapleton’s Field. This year’s work is more ambitions than in the previous two seasons: the aim is to open a larger trench than before (40 m square) to be able to view an entire quadrant of the henge in plan. It is hoped that this will enable us to understand more about its form and development through time.
