Recording system

The recording system [download pdf 3.3 Mb] used by the Norton Community Archaeology Group is a manual system that has evolved since first being adopted by North Hertfordshire Museums in 1983. Its original inspiration is the system devised by the Museum of London’s archaeological team and has been revised many times since then by archaeologists working for North Hertfordshire Museums.
