The 2009 summer excavation starts tomorrow

Tomorrow, we begin work on the 2009 season on site at Church Field, Norton. Following last year’s slightly disappointing excavation, we will be starting in known archaeology, which appears to date from the sixteenth century or earlier.

A summary of what was achieved last year can be found in the sidebar (The 2009 Excavation) and by looking up posts in this blog from August 2008.
